The Mighty Yak are back for 2020
The 2020 Tumbafest event organisers have listened to festival attendees and are bringing back The Mighty Yak!
“A significant proportion of survey respondents from the 2019 Bendigo Bank Tumbafest and those providing feedback via our Facebook page have told us they want The Mighty Yak back.” Event Coordinator Karly Fynn said.
“We are pleased to let our fans know that we are listening and we have included several local performers in this years line up, including The Mighty Yak, Mollie Waters, and Deja Groove“.
The Mighty Yak is a cover band popular for weddings, parties and corporate functions in the Riverina. Not afraid to travel, the band has performed in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra for private and corporate functions as well as in numerous regional cities and towns.
Boasting the experience of seasoned professional musicians, the band’s ability to perform a large range of musical genres makes them a popular choice for clients over the last 10 years.
The 4 piece band consists of guitar (Sean Reardon), bass (Nik Sarantakos), drums (Riley McPherson) and vocals (Mark Atkinson) making the band adept to a wide range of musical styles. Each band member has many years of live music experience playing in a variety of musical acts and shows, which when put together, make up a very capable musical group.
The band has performed at numerous charity functions (Relay for Life, Bushfire relief concerts, Raising Hope for Cambodia) and various other events including Food and wine Festivals, Gears and Beers, Tumbafest, Wine Festivals and Wagga Live to name a few. One of the strengths the band has is the ability to read the audience in terms of repertoire. With a constantly growing selection of songs, the band has the ability to provide a smooth dinner set to entertain guests during dining through to an energetic set encouraging clients to dance
The Mighty Yak will be taking to the Bendigo Bank Main Stage on Saturday 22 February at 1:45pm.
