Costa is Australia’s leading horticultural company and is the largest fresh produce supplier to the major Australian food retailers. Operations include approximately 4500 planted hectares of farmland, 30 hectares of glasshouse and seven mushroom growing facilities across Australia. Costa also has international operations, with interests in six blueberry farms in Morocco and three berry farms in China.
At Costa we are proud of the fact that all of the products we grow and sell are fresh, nutritious, unprocessed and grown on our very own farms or those of our partner growers. Finding more sustainable ways to make fresh, healthy food available for everyone is one of the most critical issues of our time and Costa has a vital role to play.
The Costa Berry Category is at the forefront of genetic and growing innovation and we are the only Australian berry grower to achieve year round production of blueberries and raspberries. Our farms are located in Far North Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania and Western Australia.
The Costa Berry Farm at Tumbarumba covers 50 hectares, producing blueberries in the summer months of December and January. The farm provides employment for up to 400 people in peak harvest season, providing opportunities for locals and attracting seasonal workers to the region.
In all that we grow, we’re committed to sustainable growing and production practices. Our berries are marketed under the Driscoll’s® brand in Australia.
