Tumbafest: your complete festival experience
Discover Tumbafest in Tumbarumba on the last weekend in February of each year.
On the last weekend in February of each year since 1997, the township of Tumbarumba is host to "Tumbafest" – a celebration of music, wine and food.
Tumbarumba is tucked into the western foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Surrounded by idyllic mountain peaks, natural bushland, expansive vineyards and lush agricultural pastures, Tumbarumba is the gateway to some of Australia's most spectacular alpine landscapes.
Truly a celebration of country lifestyle, this two-day Festival offers something for everyone. Attractions include a jam-packed schedule of Main Stage entertainment, sublime regional wines, lots of arts and craft vendors, extensive food stalls, wine tasting, a farmer's market, as well as numerous activities designed especially for young children, with many being offered free of charge.
This dynamic and appealing festival program ensures a magical time for Festival-goers. Tumbafest continues to grow each year and has become a fixed event on many local and visitor’s calendars with over 5,000 people attending each year.
Tumbafest is proudly hosted by the Tumbafest Committee, whose tireless volunteer, yearlong work culminates in a festival that exhibits full-scale community participation.
For that one weekend each year, Tumbafest transforms a small country town into a hub of festivity, breathing life into the region and economy. In its 14th year, Tumbafest 2011 will present a dynamic festival program that is meaningful to its target audiences. A showcase for the region, Tumbafest is the culmination of a community's effort to deliver a first class visitor experience.
