During Tumbafest, the picturesque Creekscape of the Tumbarumba township becomes a blur of music and festivities that draw a diverse crowd, mostly festival-goers from NSW, Victoria and nearby ACT. By its end, some 4,500 people have enjoyed the performances of soloists, choirs, cabaret, rock and country musicians.
Tumbarumba is tucked into the western foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Surrounded by idyllic mountain peaks, natural bushland, expansive vineyards and lush agricultural pastures, Tumbarumba is the gateway to some of Australia’s most spectacular alpine landscapes.
All the festivals activities take place within walking distance of the town’s centre. On the banks of the creek lazily wending its way through the hub of the festival grounds, the Market vendors sell artworks, woodworks, essential oils, embroidered clothing, and semi-precious stones, along with home-baked cookies and preserves, olive oils and all sorts of snack food.
You can choose your own pace - relax with family and friends in the shade along the bank of the Tumbarumba Creek. We offer a variety of musical genres. Families are well catered for with entertainment for kids of all ages. The extensive variety of the food court is close by to ensure the hungry hoards are well fed all weekend long from breakfast to dinner. If shopping is your thing … we are the largest market in the region, offering over 90 speciality stalls.
Tumbarumba is only 2 hours from Canberra and Albury and a little over an hour from the heart of the Riverina. Come and join us in this charming Shire where you will be surrounded by an idyllic natural landscape of forests and mountains.
